Dear Church Family,
I pray that you and your loved ones are all staying healthy and safe. These last few weeks have brought the tragic toll of the coronavirus pandemic into view as we’ve seen many, many people sickened and far too many succumb to this illness throughout the world and especially right here in the New York area. Like many of you, I have sought to hear God’s still small voice in the midst of these trials and to find His strength through prayer and the study of His word. He continues to encourage me that despite the challenges that we face, He is in control.
I have spoken to many of you, some by phone, some by FaceTime and some through Zoom events and meetings, and I’m encouraged to say that for the most part we are holding up under the stresses and strains that social distancing has required us to endure.
Relationships are more important than ever and while this last month has certainly presented unprecedented challenges to our world and to our way of life, we continue to stay connected as a Fellowship through our Sunday Online Service and our weekly Zoom Bible Studies and Prayer Meetings.
I encourage you to join us this Friday evening for our Good Friday Service on Zoom as we reflect on Christ’s suffering, and this Sunday morning online as we celebrate His resurrection. Links to these and other events are located on the Events page on our church website at ccnorthjersey.org.
I know that nothing can take the place of live services, and hopefully, we will be able to come together again soon for praise and worship, bible study and fellowship. In the meantime if you or your family need anything, please do not hesitate to call, even if it’s just to talk.
Blessings as we celebrate our hope in Christ. He is risen... He is risen indeed!
